SRLC runs for a cause in Vadodara and Kolkata
The month of January 2019 saw SRLC participate in the MG Vadodara International Marathon for the 2nd year running. Over 85 volunteers participated in the NGO Pledge Run and walked the streets of Vadodara to raise funds for the new Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital . The marathon was flagged off by Shri Vijaybhai Rupani – Honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat, in the presence of several dignitaries. More than 1 lakh people participated in this event, making it India’s second largest marathon.
Volunteers from Kolkata put their running shoes and fund raising spirit into top gear at the Tata Steel Kolkata 25K Run, to raise funds for the new Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital. VOlunteers participated in the 5K run, carrying placards of SRLC’s initiativesthrough the streets of Kolkata. SRLC also won the 1st Runner-up prize in the Run in Costume – Group award.
Continuing its tradition of participating in community sporting events to promote charitable causes and raise funds for initiatives, SRLC succeeded in achieving these objectives.
