'Yogathon' Challenge at Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul
'Yogathon' is an initiative of the Art of Living Foundation to create awareness about yoga and create interest in its practice for healthier living. It inspires people to learn Surya Namaskar and challenges them to complete 54 sets (108 rounds) of the same. On the occasion of World Health Day, they conducted Yogathon all across India, including Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul (SRG). 58 of the 102 SRG students, who participated in this event, completed the challenge for which they received a certificate.
SRD teachers fondly known as ‘didis’ are tirelessly working under the divine shelter of Pujya Gurudevshri’s grace, performing varied tasks such as teaching and preparing scrumptious snacks for the children, creating an enjoyable and intellectual curriculum and managing over twenty departments as one integrated body. With the aim to offer themselves at the lotus feet of their Lord, they work to their full potential to ensure that maximum number of children can benefit from the wonderful teachings of the great Tirthankar Bhagwans and Spiritual Masters.
All sevaks nurture each child as a gift sent by the Lord, entrusted on them to enlighten their path towards Divinity. As a result of each and every sevak’s fruitful perseverance, SRD now has 21 centres in Mumbai, 46 in India and 41 abroad.
