A few weeks ago, the states of Texas and Louisiana in the United States were hit by Hurricane Harvey, which left a devastating trail of destruction and mayhem. Harvey caused atleast 71 deaths and heavy economic losses. More than 30000 people were displaced as a consequence of this disaster. SRLC responded to this calamitous situation by providing meals to the affected, distributing medicines, clothes and other essentials. SRLC volunteers also distributed school kits to children, donated blood and participated in clean-up activities in the affected areas. SRLC supported shelters, churches, and other community centers.
