Annual Day of Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth and Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul celebrated with great enthusiasm
The Annual Day Programme of Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth (SRV) and Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul (SRG) was jointly organised at the SRV ground on 24th January, 2018. The function was attended by more than 1100 people, including Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC) trustees, principals of other schools, teachers, parents of the students of SRG and SRV and SRLC volunteers.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a performance by the Love and Care Stompers, followed by a video enumerating the educational initiatives of the Mission. The occasion saw the students of these two institutions present a total of 17 performances, including garba-raas, a traditional Rajasthani dance, a Punjabi dance, a traditional Adivasi dance, a mime Act depicting incidents from the lives of Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh, skits on moral values and positive attitude – inspired by the teachings of Pujya Gurudevshri, an act on Helen Keller highlighting the importance of a teacher in one’s life, a patriotic dance, songs dedicated to parents and a solo performance with wonderful fusion of different musical instruments. These performances displayed a beautiful blend of performing art, spirituality, devotion, moral values and gratitude towards Shrimad Rajchandraji, Pujya Gurudevshri, parents and teachers. SRV and SRG students also shared their heartfelt experiences of how these institutions have transformed their lives. The entire event was compered by students of SRV and SRG, which made their parents really feel proud of their progress and the holistic development they receive at these institutes.
As a mark of appreciation and encouragement, 12 students each from SRV and SRG were awarded prizes for their achievements in academic and various other extra-curricular fields during the event.
The Annual Day celebrations was one more occasion for SRLC to provide a platform to the budding talents of rural Gujarat to express themselves. It was an occasion for students to celebrate being a part of two institutions, which are sketching their progress diligently.
