A yoga event rejuvenates the residents of an elderly home in Hong Kong
Yoga is a discipline to improve or develop one's inherent power in a balanced manner. It brings together physical and mental discipline to achieve a peaceful body and mind. It helps manage stress and anxiety. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone.
About 30 elderly Chinese residents of Mei Foo Elderly Centre in Hong Kong were engaged in a rejuvenating session of yoga by volunteers. It was a welcome break for the elderly who enjoyed the session, aided by a yoga instructor who could speak in Chinese language. The event was well received by the residents who requested more follow up sessions in the future.
