Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital has been providing quality healthcare solutions to the less privileged population of South Gujarat. A concerning issue is the widespread presence of oral diseases, which creates a detrimental impact on the health and well-being of people. Dental pain is considered one of the most severe pains and the irony is that the ratio of dentists to population is only 1 for every 20,000. Tooth decay is the most common problem encountered in all age groups. Despite the immense pain and resultant health issues, dental diseases are often overlooked, especially amongst the less privileged.
With the grace of Param Krupalu Dev and blessings from Pujya Gurudevshri, Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital has launched the Shrimad Rajchandra Mobile Dental Clinic to address dental issues.
This new initiative will involve regular visits by a mobile dental van to remote tribal areas to carry out dental checks by a qualified dentist. The van is fully furnished with a state-of-the art dental chair, a portable x-ray machine, an ultrasonic scaler, an intra-oral camera and all essential accessories for carrying out dental procedures. Through this programme, on-the-spot treatment for common dental problems such as tooth decay, cavities, swollen gums, bleeding gums, or ulcerations, will be provided to the patients. All services provided under this programme will be completely free of cost. The project will also focus on treating pre-schoolers in the anganwadis and the students of primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools. Additionally, simple presentations in local-language will be made to tribal folk to educate them on oral health and hygiene.
Shrimad Rajchandra Mobile Dental Clinic is poised to bring about miles of smiles on the faces of the less privileged populations of Dharampur and nearby areas. It was inaugurated on 26th January at the Dharampur Gymkhana Ground by Pujya Gurudevshri and Pujyashri Sharadbhai Vyas in the presence of Mr. Dipesh Dave - NGO Coordinator, Government of Gujarat and other dignitaries, on the side-lines of the Dharampur Khelotsav 2016.
