Shrimad Rajchandra Skill Development Centre helps Ankita break stereotypes
Ankita Garasiya, a 12th standard pass-out, is currently successfully employed at Jacksons Pvt. Ltd. as an electrician - not a common career path for rural girls! This opportunity came to her help at a crucial point, when after her father lost his livelihood, she became the sole breadwinner of her family.
Ankita enrolled in the electrician course at Shrimad Rajchandra Skill Development Centre, a place where rural youth receive vocational and soft skills training at no cost. Over the 3-month course, Ankita was trained in electrical wirings including house-related wirings, board to board connections, etc. She gained practical skills via field visits and was groomed to improve her communication skills. Despite having previously completed an electrician course at another institute, she was unable to secure a job - but after the course at Shrimad Rajchandra Skill Development Centre, she was able to secure a stable and well-paying job.
On International Womens Day, Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care congratulates Ankita for breaking stereotypes and becoming an inspiring role model for all women!
