Environmental Care works towards environmental protection and sustainability by striving to increase awareness of the efficient use of natural resources, by supporting tree plantations, water conservation, use of recycled products, alternate energy resources and 'eco friendly' products.

CASE STUDIES
VILLAGE: Bavi
In 2013, Maharashtra was affected by a severe drought, considered as the region’s worst in 50 years. The situation had been so bad that only a litre of water would be available for usage for a person each day, for all activities.
We were alert to the worsening situation in these drought-hit areas and responded swiftly to the need for relief and care. We adopted the village of Bavi in Beed district of Maharashtra and undertook water storage projects aimed at developing sustainable irrigation and drinking water sources such as man-made lakes, which would provide a source of drinking water for the entire village and for future generations to use. We also banned fishing in these lakes, so as to preserve the life of fish.

Shrimad Rajchandra Grow Green Drive
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary Year of the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, SRLC launched the Shrimad Rajchandra Grow Green Drive 2018, an initiative to plant 5000 trees at the Ashram during this glorious year. The first phase of the drive was flagged off by Pujya Gurudevshri on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima amidst a euphoric gathering of devotees. A variety of evergreen, flowering, fruit bearing and shade providing were planted. The culmination of this 3 day drive was the planting of 108 majestic ‘Gratitude Trees’ along the road leading to the amphitheatre. These trees shall adorn the Ashram, making the ambience more serene, the climate cooler and the landscapes greener.
